Cape Blanco has already just reported wind gust's to 76 mph on the Oregon Coast. Thanks to Jim from one of the weather forums I used to collaborate with other amature and professional meteorologist's he pointed out where the low is and how its starting to make the classic windstorm curve to the NE. This system is also 5 mb deeper than the models have predicted for this time so the intensity is there and this should give the valleys 70 mph gust's. Again, if the low starts to bomb, then we may be looking for winds higher than 70 mph here in the valley and would probally be ranked 3rd in the top 5 windstorms..but thats if that happens. Winds have picked up here in the valleys with sustained winds sitting at 20+ mph. Temperatures have dropped to almost 43 degrees which is a pretty dramatic decrease from 50 earlier. Jim little also took to the storm saying that convection around the current low will mix the air out pretty good causing surface winds to easily reach damaging speeds. Not good news for people living near large tree's. More updates to come...
