Farmers Almanac a reliable forecaster?

George Taylor of OCS just sent me some Farmer Almanac predictions and one said we will be in for a cold winter while the other says we are going to have a wet and mild winter. These confuse me and the mild one dosn't sound right. The first half of winter will be cool up untill maybe mid to upper January (15-22). Then I can see it getting mild. I don't put my faitha nd trust in these things for most of the time these predictions are way off. Not all the time, but most of the time! If you want to know what this winter will be like, go back to 1995. Most common analog year would be that and is the closest to how this year is going. Ahh weather can be so confusing at times.
